How to Make Dubai-Inspired Pistachio Chocolate Truffles – Easy No-Bake Dessert

We first tasted Dubai chocolate in Saudi Arabia and immediately fell in love with its dreamy combo of chocolate, crispy kadaif, and sweet pistachios. Inspired by that unforgettable treat, we created our own version: a no-bake truffle recipethat’s simple, indulgent, and totally irresistible.

After multiple tests and tweaks, this is our perfected recipe – ready in under an hour and made from ingredients you can easily find locally.

🕒 Prep Time: 45 minutes

🥣 Difficulty: Easy
🔥 No oven needed

Ingredients:

💚 For the pistachio filling:

  • Kadaif (fine shredded pastry – find it in the baking aisle or Middle Eastern stores)
  • 2 tbsp pistachio cream (unsweetened & organic preferred)

💚 For the chocolate coating:

  • Butter cookies (like Petit Beurre)
  • Milk (as needed)
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Sugar to taste
  • Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp tahini (sesame paste – available in most well-stocked grocery stores or Middle Eastern shops)

💚 A handful of shelled pistachios

Instructions:

  1. Toast kadaif in a dry pan until golden and crispy.
  2. Let it cool, then mix with pistachio cream. Chill for 4 hours or 1 hour in the freezer.
  3. Crush the butter cookies and mix with milk, cocoa, sugar, vanilla sugar, and tahini until you get a moldable dough. Chill.
  4. Finely chop pistachios.
  5. Once kadaif mixture is firm, shape into small green balls.
  6. Flatten chocolate dough into a disc, place a kadaif ball in the center, and wrap it into a truffle shape.
  7. Roll each truffle in chopped pistachios.
  8. Chill in the fridge before serving.

Pro Tip:

These truffles are so good, they disappear fast – we suggest doubling the recipe from the start! 😉

Shine bright,

Nika
